| Before boiling, poke hole in large end of egg with tack; boil 10 minutes; drain off water; bounce eggs around in pot til shells are well cracked; pour ice water over eggs; let sit 20 minutes; sulfur will leach out; yolks won't turn gray; refrigerate. Tip Credibility: 27 (Best Tip!) |
| Use eggs that are 3 to 5 days old. The older the egg, the more space between the shell and egg. Tip Credibility: 8 |
| Pouring cold water over them as soon as they are done boiling will also help tremendously in separating the shell, making peeling easier. Tip Credibility: 5 |
