University of Rhode Island has found more than 20 compounds in maple syrup from Canada that have been linked to human health, 13 of which are newly discovered in maple syrup. In addition, eight of the compounds have been found for the first time.

Maple syrup has a lot of sugar in it - which means if you eat too much of it, you'll put on weight. Use it in moderation

Maple syrup is rich in Zinc and Manganese. The manganese helps increase your immunity. The Zinc act as an antioxidant and reduces the signs of ageing. It is also a great food for your heart.
