For most intermediate players, the triple 19 yields best scores. If you can hit it consistantly , move up to triple 20, in the mean time, the 19 is surrounded by better yielding numbers if you miss. And as mentioned carry a sheet with the "outs" listed

Don't underestimate the mathematical side of many darts games. For instance, needing to end a game on a double requires working out the combinations of numbers (and dart board ranges) that will leave you with the target that you want.

If you are a keen darts player but want to get better the key is to focus your practice. You need to spend time practicing hitting the doubles and trebles as well as just aimimg for the treble 20. You should also prcatice your finishes.
