Tip Sheet

Specify a time schedule for your priority tasks. And make a point of writing a "Things to IGNORE" list as well.

If you are juggling multiple tasks and projects, do daily triage - most critical tasks at top of list. Take the tasks in order of importance and complete each in turn. You may not get everything done, but you will always finish what is really important.

As marketers we are always looking for new ideas and better ways to do things, but it is more productive to commit to one good project and push it to completion and profit, than to try to work on several brilliant ideas that never quite get done.

To achieve success with your online business be totally committed and treat it like a real business and not a hobby.

You have to recognize your strengths and weaknesses, commit to the things that you can do best and outsource the rest. People usually get hung up on copying other people's business models without assessing if that's best for them.

As well as listing your three top priorities for the day, list a few easy-to-accomplish tasks that you can do when energy levels are lower or when you need to give yourself a boost. Checking email should not be one of them!

Always make your to-do list the day before to make sure you are focussed from the next morning and do not get distracted by new 'invitations'.

Making a daily To-Do list and sticking to it is the what separates pros from noobs. Always have a task list and break down big tasks to smaller ones that can fit in one power-hour sessions. Work hard, and make a break. Have a Someday/Maybe list too.

All great tips...one more to add, in the evening while putting together the next days to do list, rate your day, ask yourself this very important question; Did I use the time I had today effectively and efficiently, rate yourself on a 1-10 scale.

Probably the most important point in succeeding online or failing. (I was Guilty of this) Don't keep chasing the next best thing, start a project, get it moving and earning and then optimize. With that you give yourself choices to successfully move on.

Make a list of what you want to accomplish for the day and stick to it. Don't keep checking your email every few minutes. Use software to help you complete your tasks faster. Take breaks often so you will stay fresh during the day.
