Tip Sheet

For 4 months now I have had and used a swedish manufactured composting toilet. This is better than the old fashioned toilet-pail that had to emptied twice a week. In addition the resulting compost can be used as fertilizer, earlier all was put into sea.

My composting toilet broke down:The gearmotor that stirs the compost was overloaded because the compost had become too dry and hard After changing the motor the toilet works well again. Remember to keep the compost moist and soft by adding water or urine.

We have a composting toilet at our cottage because there is no hydro or running water. We did not like the swedish toilet it was too much work. We went to the cottage show and found a better one. Every year we have lots of compost for a garden
