When visiting China & invited to someones house for dinner the 1st time, its a good idea to eat 80-90% of your food off your plate as politeness. If you eat 100%, it may be interpreted that you are still hungry and if you eat to little, you didnt like it.

Chinese Horoscopes 12 Year Cycle vs Western 12 Month Cycle
