Always remember when dining out that your server is not the person who cooked and/or fixed up your plate. Tip your server according to their service. If you have problems with the quality of your food ask to speak to the manager.

Vancouver residents eat more sushi than anyone else in Canada. It is the City's adopted cuisine. In fact sushi might be more common in Vancouver than in Japan.

Tip Sheet Credibility: 4

try not to make two dozen requests throughout the dining experience. if you know of something you want or need, get it straightened out right from the start. this will make all the difference for you and the tables near you if the place is busy.

Seriously, all restaurants and venues in Chicago are offering heavy discounts to book holiday parties. Do not forget to ASK about their specials. Most restaurants need the business on the books before the end of the year!

Save Money Dining Out With Kids

Tip Sheet Credibility: 5

submitted by DrKristie 2009-08-29 08:57:52 am

Many restaurants allow kids to eat free. Call local restaurants and ask if they have this policy. Make a list and store it on your computer so you can refer back to it when you want to eat out with the kids.

Ruby Tuesdays has a Triple Prime burger so freshly ground they're not afraid to cook it any way you like, including rare. It's fabulous and the available salad bar ain't too shabby either! Great if you want the finest and can spend $10 for a burger.

Tip Sheet Credibility: 4

Sam Choi's (Honolulu) and John Domini's (Honolulu). Quality is excellent and prices affordable. Small 'mom and pop' cafes all over the islands and they serve really great food - you just have to look for them while in Hawaii.

Save money on Kids Beverages eating out

Tip Sheet Credibility: 18

submitted by Becca1962 2009-07-25 12:53:18 am

Order ice water and lemon wedges instead of soft drinks. The water with lemon wedge makes it more interesting than plain water. The kids will add sugar and try to make lemonade. Most resturants do not charge for water with one lemon wedge.

How to save money when dining out.

Tip Sheet Credibility: 24

submitted by chriscb 2009-07-22 03:41:10 pm

If you find portions are too large, order entree size. If you're having entree and mains, order two entrees - just remember to tell the waiter to serve them separately. If I have entree size for mains, I have enough room left for dessert. Way to go!

A Tip about Leaving Tips

Tip Sheet Credibility: 10

submitted by claywalsh 2009-07-22 12:22:21 am

I never tip less than 15% (unless the service was just extraordinarily bad). Even if the service is bad, I'll still leave a little something. Maybe by doing that, I can be a blessing to that person in a small way. They might just be having a bad day.
